Why New York is falling in love with French vintage: A look back at our pop-up at Aberizk

French vintage: a global fascination, a timeless elegance.

French vintage is much more than a trend: it's a global style reference , a true language of fashion. For decades, major French fashion houses have shaped the history of clothing through unique, visionary, and timeless pieces. These creations, often conceived in a bygone era, continue to captivate today with their boldness, their quality, and above all, their ability to transcend time .

Why such enthusiasm today?

In a world saturated with fast fashion and fleeting collections, vintage represents a form of elegant resistance . It embodies a return to craftsmanship , durability , and identity . Wearing a vintage piece is to assert a unique taste, to appropriate a history, a material, a cut—far removed from current trends.

A bag designed in the 80s can now be a hit on the catwalks and streets of New York. Because these objects from the past aren't outdated: they're ahead of their time. French vintage has always had a knack for capturing the spirit of the times before its time, with innovative patterns , luxurious materials , and sculptural lines that remain strikingly modern.

A look back at our pop-up in New York: a vibrant encounter.

From June 13 to 23 , The Room Paris set up shop in the city that never sleeps, within the very cutting-edge boutique Aberizk , located at 9 Spring Street.

This pop-up was not simply a sales space: it was an immersive experience , a dialogue between Paris and New York, between heritage and avant-garde.

For ten days, we had the privilege of meeting a passionate, curious community , receptive to our approach: that of creating fashion that is committed, elegant, and responsible. Our pieces—clothing, bags, accessories—resonated particularly with the New York public, always on the lookout for what is rare, authentic, and imbued with soul .

Seeing our selections evoke emotion, seeing eyes light up at the sight of a perfectly tailored blazer or a bag with leather patinated by time, deeply touched us. This confirms what we've held dear from the beginning: French vintage has a universal language.

This pop-up was an opportunity to share, exchange ideas, listen , and above all , connect , in an atmosphere that was both intimate and cosmopolitan. It marks a key milestone in the history of The Room Paris… and this is just the beginning.

Thank you, New York. Thank you, Aberizk. Thank you all.

See you soon for the next part.
