At The Room , authenticity is a prerequisite.
Each item offered in the store is carefully checked before being included in the selection.

We work exclusively with original vintage pieces, chosen for their quality, condition and consistency.

A rigorous check

Each garment, bag or accessory is examined individually.
Authentication is based on a cross-analysis of several elements, specific to each house and each era.

No item is put up for sale without having been checked.

What we check

Depending on the type of part and the brand, we pay particular attention to:

  • materials and their natural aging

  • the finishes and the quality of manufacture

  • labels, markings and serial numbers

  • locking systems and metal components

  • the consistency of the model with its production era

Every detail is compared to known references and our field experience.
